Wellness Clinics are a partnership between the Delaware Humane Association and Concord Pet Stores.
Local veterinarians provide low-cost rabies inoculations at our many clinics held at various locations in New Castle County and Kent County (Dover) throughout the year. The DHA offers Wellness Clinics on site or in partnership with Concord Pet Stores.
Services available at Wellness Clinics:
- Rabies Vaccination: $15 each *
If a pet has had a previous rabies vaccination, the prior rabies certificate must be brought to the Wellness Clinic. - Distemper Vaccine: $15 each
Canine and feline - Microchip: $25 each
Microchips offer permanent identification for pet/owner reunification. - Bordetella vaccinations: $15 each
Since kennel cough is sweeping through dog populations in shelters, we think it is important to offer protection to the public’s pets - Delaware State Dog licenses
Payment is accepted separately from the payment for vaccines/microchips

Reminders
Rabies among household pets may be avoided by taking the following precautions:
- Keep your pets away from stray animals and wildlife by confining them to your own lawn and by walking them on a leash at all times when leaving your property.
- Keep trash in tightly closed trash cans so as not to attract stray or wild animals.
- Vaccinate all dogs and cats against rabies on a regular basis-as prescribed by your veterinarian. This is the law.
* Effective Sept. 1, 2007 the State of Delaware has a new surcharge for all Rabies Vaccinations. We are required to send $3.00 for every vaccination given to a low cost spay/neuter fund. In six months these funds will support our low cost spay neuter program for low income residents and feral cats. Attached to this email is our new cost for vaccinations for S/N clients and Animal Assessments. Vaccination prices will remain the same for wellness clinics.
