DHA remains committed to finding homes for hard to adopt dogs
Posted on August 20, 2012
Misinformation has been posted on Facebook pages, including No Kill Delaware's, stating that DHA has scheduled a dog named Peyton to be killed. This is incorrect, and Peyton was placed with Response-A-Bull Rescue this morning.
We believe the misinformation most likely was misconstrued from an email sent to DHA volunteers asking for assistance in placing our long-term, "hard to adopt" animals. We are making every effort to find suitable homes for these animals, regardless of breed, and have had much success of late with Frank Sinatra, Jack Sparrow, Duie, and Spencer all having recently been adopted. Three additional dogs are currently in foster to adopt placements.
There will always be hard to adopt dogs at DHA, and we will continue our commitment to find them homes.
