Rain didn't dampen spirits or fun at Tails Around the Tower

On October 7th, over 450 humans and their four-legged friends enjoyed festivities at Rockford Park on a rainy fall day. We were very proud to be joined this year for photos and book signing by special Walk Grand Marshall Oogy and Larry Levin, author of New York Times-bestseller Oogy, the Dog Only a Family Could Love.Thanks to the event’s fundraisers, donors, sponsors, vendors, and DHA’s Special Events committee members, we were able to surpass our $100,000 goal through cash and in kind donations.

 Winners were announced and prizes were presented to top fundraisers for the Walk at an awards ceremony during Playtime at DHA on October 10th. Although a few of the winners were unable to attend, it was a beautiful evening and everyone had a great time, especially the dogs!
