Fix Your Cat for Free
DHA's Close to Home Spay/Neuter Program

DHA is offering FREE spaying or neutering (also known as "fixing") of cats and kittens brought in by anyone living in the 19801 zip code. This program, called Close to Home, is funded by a generous grant from PetSmart Charities®.
“This is a really great offer and one that will end when
the grant monies run out,” says DHA’s Executive Director Patrick
Carroll. “Spaying and neutering is a safe and simple procedure that
helps pets live longer, healthier lives. We really want to see cat
owners in 19801 take advantage of DHA’s Close to Home Spay/Neuter
Program to help reduce pet overpopulation as well as the number of
homeless animals in our community.”
In addition to neutering (for male cats) or spaying (for female cats), free rabies
vaccinations will be given to any cat participating in the program whose
caretaker is unable to provide a current, valid rabies vaccination
certificate. Additional services such as distemper vaccinations,
FIV/FeLV testing, and microchipping are not included, but are available
at DHA’s regular affordable rates.
DHA also offers a regular low cost spay and neuter surgery for both cats and dogs that is open to anyone. All surgeries at DHA are performed under general anesthesia by
a licensed veterinarian.
